Your favorite place you’ve ever traveled?
Malaysia, definitely. I was pretty young but I still remember it so vividly. Such beauty!
Where would we find you on a Saturday? When you’re not dancing what are you doing?
On some adventure with my hubby and toddler… but if we’re home and Ander is napping, I’m either reading a novel, playing Skyrim, crafting, or vlogging.
What’s in your purse?
Diapers, wipes, lion pacificer, band-aids (for all the gouges I get at rehearsal), EOS lip balm, my inhaler, keychain with the Neuschwanstein Castle on it, Ander’s snacks, a spare outfit, wallet, phone, ibuprofen.
What was your favorite food when you were little and what it’s it now?
Brown rice… which was actually white rice with soy sauce on it but I didn’t know better. Now I love pretty much any kind of Thai food.
If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?
If I was strong enough, aerial dance. It looks soooo fun. Or the guitar. Or rock climbing.
If you had to change your first name, what would you change it to?
I wouldn’t. I like that my name is Jessie Kay, not Jessica. It’s unique. Sorry I kind of failed at that question…
What was the last movie, tv show or book that made you cry?
I’m a very emotional person so it doesn’t take much. Pretty sure it was The Amazing Spiderman 2.
What do you miss most about being a kid?
Having no major stress in my life. I could play horses with my bestie all day long if I wanted. It was a good life.
What story does your family always tell about you?
Wow. There are a lot. One of the most popular ones is that one day when I was little I walked into the kitchen with several band-aids plastered to my forehead. When my mom asked what had happened, I replied, “I have a headache”. Another time I was walking with my mom and apparently I had been mean to my brother because I said to her, “I don’t know why I’m mean, I’m just good at it!”
