Classes and Opportunities
In the MOVER track, you will find classes and opportunities such as:
- Ballet Technique
- Contemporary Technique
- Floorwork
- Commercial Jazz
- Improvisation
- WCDC Repertoire
- Daily rehearsals with an experienced choreographer
- Performance on June 10 at SMASH Dance Academy
- Opportunity to audition for WCDC and Wasatch II for 2023-2024 season
In the MAKER track, you will find classes and opportunities such as:
- Improvisation
- Composition Tools
- Structuring your Choreography
- Contact Improvisation
- Unique Spaces, Places and Props
- How to Work with your Composer
- Dance & Film
- Studio space for rehearsal prep
- 13 hours of rehearsal time with a cast size of your choice to prepare for June 10 performance
- Access to WCDC costume closet for costuming
- One on one mentor time with a professional
- Chance to win a cash honorarium of $500 and restage work on WCDC during the regular season
- Choreographers who wish to attend the classes but NOT work with a cast of dancers can sign up for the “classes only” portion beginning May 9
