Abby Brumbeloe

Abby Brumbeloe was born in Birmingham, Alabama and trained with Briarwood Ballet  and Oklahoma City Ballet Company. She has a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Dance at Troy University. During her time at Troy University, she had the privilege of working with Daniel Gwirtzman, Dante Puleio, Dominque Angel, Keven Stea, Thang Dao, and James Boyd. Abigail has also performed at Alabama Dance Festival and the DAP Festival in Pietrasanta, Italy.

Kenzie Gannaway

Kenzie graduated from Wichita State University with a BFA in Dance. During her time there she attended American Dance Festival, Salt Dance Festival and toured to Mexico with Wichita Contemporary Dance Company. This allowed her to work with choreographers such as Darrell Grand Moultrie, Charles Anderson, and Jamie Walker. She also performed with Chandler Dances on stage and in community spaces as well as with Alithea Mime Theater both on stage and as an entertainer for parties. Kenzie continues to perform with Automic Lotus Industries at live events and on film. Since graduation she has guest performed for Raw Focus, JK Studios and Newbrese Dance Project. She continues to freelance as a sword balancer and living statue.

Christi Harris

During her studies at Brigham Young University-Idaho, Christi represented the dance program in performances across Costa Rica, Panama, Canada, New England, and the Midwest in a variety of styles from contemporary and ballet to tap and Russian. She taught in the foot works classes during her time in school. Upon graduating, Christi worked as an apprentice for Navdhara Indian Dance Theatre in Mumbai, India. She performed their work “Amaara” by Ashley Lobo with the company and had the opportunity to teach technique classes throughout the city during her time in India. Since returning to America, she has been performing as a freelance acrobat for various events in Salt Lake City and has danced with WCDC since 2017.

Breah Duschl

Breah Duschl is a dancer from Toledo, Ohio. She recently graduated with her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance from Wright State University. In her time at Wright State she completed a season with Dayton Contemporary Dance Company in their second company. Breah has had the opportunity to work with choreographers such as Ray Mercer and Christian Denice and has studied under a multitude of teachers including Dwight Rhoden and Donald Byrd.

Lyndsi Henretty

Lyndsi grew up in Eagle, Idaho where she has been dancing and performing since she was 10 years old. She has lived all around Utah for the past 8 years since she received her BFA in Dance Performance from Brigham Young University, where she performed with DancEnsemble and Contemporary Dance Theatre. While attending BYU she traveled to China for a dance study abroad where she had the opportunity to perform and collaborate with dance students at Wuxi Culture and Art School and Beijing Minzu University. Lyndsi has also had the privilege to learn from and collaborate with professionals such as Natalie Desch, Daniel Charon, Ihsan Rustem, Sarah Pearson and Patrik Widrig. Since graduating, Lyndsi has been a part of multiple companies and projects around Utah, including Body Logic Dance, Onsite Mobile Dance Series and most recently Salt Pro where she was under the direction of Courtney Mazeika. Lyndsi has a strong belief in movement being a healing for the soul as well as its power to communicate stories, thoughts and ideas that words cannot express. Lyndsi is beyond excited and overjoyed to continue her story through movement with Wasatch Contemporary Dance this season.

Jess MacDonald

Jess MacDonald grew up dancing in Heber City, Utah, where she trained and had the opportunity to perform with Ballet West, the Radio City Rockettes, TedEx, as well as compete nationally. Jess then attended Utah Valley University to pursue an Honors BFA in Modern Dance. During her time at UVU, Jess danced for UVU’s Contemporary Dance Ensemble and hip-hop company Mosaic. She also held the positions of Rehearsal Director for CDE and Student Representative for the Department of Dance. In 2017, Jess had the opportunity to work with Repertory Dance Theater and perform Andy Noble’s Tower. Jess also enjoys dance research and presented at The National Conference for Undergraduate Research in 2017 and 2018. Jess now teaches and performs in Utah/Salt Lake counties and is excited to join WCDC’s main company.

Natalie Poulson

Natalie Poulson is a professional dancer and choreographer who has trained in dance for over fifteen years. She recently received her Bachelor of Arts in dance from Brigham Young University-Idaho. She was very involved in choreographing and directing for the schools’ collegiate dance company, teaching modern dance classes on campus, and dancing in shows every semester during her time at BYU-Idaho.  Since then, she has been dancing professionally and creating her own work. She is so excited to be joining Wasatch Contemporary Dance Company where she can continue to share her love of dance.

Amy Symonds

Amy Symonds is a dance professional with a passion for teaching, learning, dance making, and dance sharing. She danced with the Youth American Ballet Company performing both soloist and principal roles in The Nutcracker, Firebird, Giselle, and Paquita. Following this time, Amy expanded her training into modern and postmodern techniques at Scottsdale Community College and at summer programs with LINES, NW Dance Project, Chuthis., Camp Protégé, SALT, and GagaLabs. While living in Arizona, she has worked collaboratively on various shows and projects with Convergence Ballet Company, Scorpius Dance Theatre, JordanDanielsDance, and CONDER|dance in addition to performing as a guest with Center Dance Ensemble and premiering choreographic work at WestFest Dance Festival, Beta Dance Festival, Arizona Dance Festival, and Taliesin West. Amy is looking forward to her first season working with WCDC!
