Wasatch Contemporary Dance Repertoire (1:40-2:40 PM) is a one-hour class that invites students to explore recent works performed by the company. Guided by WCDC dance artists, students will learn and embody movement phrases drawn directly from company choreography, gaining insight into the creative processes and artistic intentions behind the work.

The class focuses on musicality, performance quality, and stylistic clarity, allowing dancers to delve into the unique movement languages of WCDC choreographers while building versatility, confidence, and a deeper connection to contemporary performance.

Contemporary Technique and Floorwork (12:30-1:30 PM) is a one-hour class for youth dancers that introduces core principles of contemporary dance rooted in modern technique. The class focuses on core control, alignment, and groundedness, helping dancers move efficiently using breath, weight, and momentum.

Floorwork is explored progressively with an emphasis on yielding to the floor, safe weight transfer, and ease of movement into and out of the ground. Dancers will build confidence navigating different levels while discovering stylistic nuance and personal expression within this evolving technique form.
