Unbound explores the stories we create from imagined worlds, fragments, and stories left untold.
Inspired by book covers, typography, and literature, the concert brings these ideas to life through contemporary dance. Each work offers a different way into a story, inviting audiences to look beyond the cover and discover what might be hiding underneath.
The Fall 2026 season brings together new and returning works that span generations of WCDC artists.
After more than a decade, acclaimed choreographer Carl Flink returns to Utah to restage Canary on WCDC in collaboration with Utah Valley University’s Contemporary Dance Ensemble. Back by popular demand, Jake Casey’s pop. returns to the stage after its 2017 premiere, while Ashley Anderson’s Survival of the Fittest, inspired by William Golding’s Lord of the Flies, returns after 13 years. Together, these works bring familiar and unexpected stories to the stage through contemporary dance.

Enjoy small bites of artisan-crafted food, paired with contemporary dance inspired by each taste profile!
Wasatch Contemporary Dance Company presents Savor, a captivating contemporary dance production debuting April 10 at The Lodge at Traverse Mountain. This performance will invite audience members to savor the taste of an artisan-crafted small bite to pair with each piece of choreography. Throughout the evening, choreographers have crafted experiences that invite audiences to feel rather than simply observe.
Choreographer Taylor Tumminia draws on the effervescence and ritual of sparkling cider to explore celebration and fleeting joy. The piece builds from collaborative movement into an exuberant, communal dance.
Inspired by the entrée steak, choreographer Aubrey Fisher transforms flavor into movement, which captures smoky intensity and hearty texture. Intimate partnering and ensemble moments evoke the warmth of gathering around a shared meal.
Join us for an evening of texture, taste, and transformation!
