Wasatch Contemporary Dance Company performs four concerts per season in August, November, April and June. From traditional stages to performances set against the Wasatch Mountains, there's something for everyone to enjoy.

  • What: Fall concert featuring local and international poetry and contemporary dance

Don't miss this contemporary dance concert shaped by the rhythm and meaning of poetry—some spoken, some written, all embodied.

Experience an evening of exceptional dance and poetry featuring Movers+Makers winners Alexis Diggs (2025) and KC Lyphout (2021), alongside new choreography from Pat and Kathie Debenham, Shani Robison, and returning guest choreographer Brooklyn Draper.

The performance also highlights the power of words, with Executive Director Jessica Heaton collaborating with UK-based poet Harry Baker, and local poet Marianne Harding presenting work inspired by Utah’s national parks and trails. Vocal and spoken-word performances by local university artists complement the evening, creating a rich blend of movement and language.

Movers+Makers is a 3 day professional dance and choreography intensive that culminates in a performance of works created during the workshop.

Five emerging choreographers from across the country compete to win a commission with the company, working with casts of professional level dancers from across Utah and beyond, including our WCDC professional dancers.
