Curiouser
October 28-29, 2021
Covey Center for the Arts

Curiouser, an evening of dance produced by Wasatch Contemporary Dance Company, will be presented October 28 and 29 at 7:30 PM at the Covey Center for the Arts. Exploring the classic novel Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll, Wasatch Contemporary Dance delves into the riveting moments of curiosity, playfulness and transformation found in this childhood favorite.

About the show, company director Jessica Heaton says, “The book Alice in Wonderland speaks to themes of inclusion vs. exclusion, mental health, the need to “fit in”, and influence vs. manipulation, making it not only a nostalgic children’s book but a very poignant piece of literature for our world today. Just as Alice followed her curiosity down into Wonderland, we would like to take our audience down that same path with us to approach the changing world around us with curiosity, compassion and creativity.”
